Raiders rally late, fall short in 3-2 loss to ranked Central DeWitt

WILLIAMSBURG – The Raiders dropped their first game in the Terry Curtis Classic, 3-2, against Class 3A No. 6 Central DeWitt. But it wasn’t for a lack of defense. The Raiders got Saber base-runners in a pickle twice, tagging them out successfully both times, and Williamsburg catcher Henry Simmons also threw out a base-runner in a stolen base attempt in the top of the fourth.
