CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Starting Wednesday, showers, and storms will make a return to the forecast. A low-pressure system and a series of fronts approach the Hawkeye State. This weather system will bring an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially on Thursday when the low-pressure system passes through our area. Expect periods of heavy rain, with some spots across Eastern Iowa potentially receiving more than an inch.
