I’m sitting here in the K-Hawk studio writing this after learning the final numbers for the KHAK Radiothon 2024 to benefit the University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital. I’m reflecting on the last two days. When I first started at the beginning of May this was on the tip of everyone’s tongue, Children’s Miracle Network. Now that it is in the rearview I can say that Brain & Courtlin did another amazing job, interviewing, and keeping it together as they talked to all these families. I sat on the other end listening and sobbing for many of these stories. Sorry, I don’t do well with sick children. Thanks to the two amazing hosts. The stories of triumph were great and the stories of loss were sometimes more than you could take.
