Kazius Childress pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the 2022 death of Kavon Johnson, a man found dead one day after another man was gunned down in Cedar Rapids. Johnson was found dead in Cedar Valley Park in January 2022. Court documents say Childress was with Johnson before the shooting and was at the scene when he was shot.
