CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The Cedar Rapids Community School District said it followed safety protocol after a child walked away from Pierce Elementary earlier this week. John Thompson told the school board on Monday his 5-year-old daughter walked away before a stranger found her and took her home on Monday.
