Labor unions across Eastern Iowa joined forces Monday to enjoy the Labor Day off of work and to remember why the holiday exists. From free food, to a car show and contests, Hawkeye Downs and the Hawkeye Area Labor Council hosted a picnic for labor union workers, their families, and the community to enjoy.
