MOUNT VERNON, Iowa (KCRG) – For a program that has qualified for the state tournament 15 times out of the last 17 years, it wasn’t a shock when the Mount Vernon volleyball team was selected as the preseason favorite. Now nine games in, they still sit on top as expectations remain high for the Mustangs.
