Clear Creek Amana’s Addie Skow is this week’s Student of the Week

Clear Creek Amana senior Addie Skow is the Iowa City Press-Citizen’s Student of the Week.

Skow garnered 58.83% of the 20,966 total votes. Elaina McDonald, a senior at Liberty High School, followed closely behind, securing 23.26%.

Skow is a leader on the soccer field and in the classroom at Clear Creek Amana. She also represents the student body as a student member of the school board, spreading her school spirit across the community.

Skow was nominated by faculty member Pete Huch.

“Clear Creek Amana is a better place because students like Skow bring hard work and dedication to make it that way,” Huch said.

This week’s poll closed Thursday, Sept. 19. A new Student of the Week poll will go live on Monday, Sept. 23.

This week’s Student of the Week nominees

The Student of the Week poll honors Johnson County students for outstanding academic achievements and community service.

Principals and faculty from the Iowa City Community School District high schools (City High, West High, and Liberty High), as well as Solon Community School District and Regina Catholic Education Center, can nominate one student to participate in the poll each week.
