Mostly cloudy Friday, staying warm

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – We remain mostly clear this evening, but clouds increase overnight. Lows tonight drop into the mid 50s as skies gradually become mostly cloudy by tomorrow morning. We remain mostly cloudy during the day on Friday, with a breeze out of the north-northeast thanks to the remnants of Hurricane Helene. We remain dry as highs reach the upper 70s to low 80s. Clouds gradually decrease Friday night as lows drop into the mid to upper 50s. We stay dry and partly to mostly sunny through the weekend, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and lows in the 50s. A cold front passes through the area early next week. Rain chances are slim to none, but the front brings cooler temperatures to the area. Highs drop from the low 80s on Monday to the upper 60s and low 70s on Tuesday. Lows Monday night are in the mid 50s, but drop into the mid 40s Tuesday night.
