IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – After a year of construction, the Iowa City Airport will soon be kicking on its new solar array. The array features 300 solar panels, it will help power several airport functions and facilities. Those include the lighting for the runway and taxiway along with the Terminal building. Once powered on, the installation will effectively cut the airport’s electric bill in half.
