Hail coats roads in Linn County Wednesday morning as storm moved through

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — A strong storm led to hail pouring down on the north side of Cedar Rapids Wednesday morning. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for Linn County at 5:30 a.m. for quarter size hail.

While the hail wasn’t that large, it did come down fast and led to some roads being completely COATED in hail.

There were reports of hail covered streets near Aplington as well. It’s possible this could continue this morning in spots with any additional storms…
