Local fire officials say cancellation of in-person fire classes hurts public safety

NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa (KCRG) – “The longer we wait to get these in-person classes back and established, the bigger problem this becomes,” said North Liberty Asst. Fire Chief Bill Schmooke.

That’s what one North Liberty Fire Fighter had to say after learning there would no longer be in-person training at the National Fire Academy.
