Four people plead guilty to charges in Ped Mall fight

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – A Cedar Rapids man has taken a plea deal to lesser charges stemming from a large fight on the Pedestrian Mall in Iowa City in 2024.

Andreas Williams was originally charged with two counts of participating in a riot. He plead guilty to a disorderly conduct charge.

A criminal complaint says Williams was part of a fight involving one to two dozen people on the Ped Mall on July 21. Police say they broke up that fight, but then Williams ran over and engaged in another fight that was already happening. Officers broke up that fight as well…
