IOWA CITY, Iowa — An Iowa City man was arrested after allegedly driving an excavator while intoxicated on Muscatine Avenue with a blood alcohol content nearly three times the legal limit.
Dustin Snyder, 40, is charged with second-offense operating while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. Officers responded to the scene just before 3 p.m. Saturday.
Police said Snyder smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred his speech, and was unable to keep his balance. Court documents state he admitted to buying and drinking alcohol. A breath test later showed his BAC was 0.222, according to a criminal complaint…
