Iowa Softball entered Saturday’s game on a hot streak, winning their previous two Big Ten Conference series, including a three-game sweep of Penn State. The Hawkeyes welcomed the Rutgers Scarlet Knights to Bob Pearl Field for a three-game weekend series.
In game one on Friday night, the Hawkeyes squeaked out a 4-3 win in walk-off fashion. The game was tied heading into the bottom of the ninth inning, when Iowa loaded the bases. Sophomore Devin Simon came to the plate with one out and put the ball in play.
