Golden Hawk Soccer Takes on Rebels and Irish

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls and boys soccer teams wrap up the week with a pair of road matches Friday. The Golden Hawk girls visit Northeast Goose Lake. The Hawks are 3-7-3 this year after a 1-0 loss at Iowa City Regina Monday. This year, Mid-Prairie has been outscored 28-20 with 92 shots on goal, 45 corner kicks, nine assists and an 82% save percentage. Individually, Meadow Flynn leads with six goals, Lydia Beachy and Brooklyn Schneider each have two assists and Niva Helmuth 111 saves.

The Rebels are 2-10 this year after a 6-2 loss at Bellevue Monday. They have been outscored in total this season 64-9 with 43 shots on goal, 25 corner kicks, six assists and a 77% team save percentage. Individually, Lily Ranke has four goals, Claire Kenneavy two assists and Emma Carbajal 193 saves. Mid-Prairie has won four straight in the series, including a 5-0 victory last season in Wellman.

The Golden Hawk boys are 1-10-1 after a 9-0 loss in Wellman Monday to Iowa City Regina. Mid-Prairie has been outscored this year 56-8 in total with 50 shots on goal, 24 corner kicks, four assists and a 71% save percentage. Individually, Kale Miller’s three goals lead, Peyton Fox, Will Snider, Ty Huber and Adrian Sanchez Reyes each have one assist and in goal, Mac Yoder has 68 saves…
