CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A very special play is coming to the Brucemore in Cedar Rapids.
“Bury Me” is a modern re-telling of the play antigone, and will be performed in sign language.
“I wanted to focus a story on issues that are dealt with within the deaf community without the show being about being deaf. One of the lines in the show is ‘Depression is the loudest form of silence,’ And that’s what I based the entire show around, that idea. We boil minority cultures down to issues.
