LINN COUNTY, Iowa — On June 5, 2024, three people were found beaten to death in a rural outbuilding, with a fourth victim later passing away at a local hospital. One year later, a suspect who police say admitted to the crime on scene has plead not guilty, and his defense is arguing his rights were violated that day.
Amanda Parker, 33, Romondus Cooper, 44, Keonna Ryan, 26, and Brent Brown, 34, died after being found bludgeoned with a metal pipe on East Otter Road. Brown was taken to a hospital before dying from his injuries.
