Committee pushes for petition signatures to get Cedar Rapids school bond issue on ballot

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A new committee is asking Cedar Rapids Community School District taxpayers to sign a petition to get the district’s proposed bond issue on the ballot in November.

The committee is called “Believe in CR Schools” and it needs more than 5,000 signatures to put the district’s $117 million bond proposal on the ballot.

The committee launched its campaign effort on Saturday at Cedar Rapids’ first farmer’s market of the summer…
