New approach to helping people facing homelessness in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A new outreach program aims to connect people without a stable place to live to community resources, and people who used to be unhoused are chiming in and helping out.

State data finds hundreds of people were unhoused for either short or long-term in Linn, Benton, and Jones counties last year.
