CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The City of Cedar Rapids will host a recognition event on Tuesday, at 9:00 a.m. to celebrate its latest America in Bloom/CN Railway grant. This grant has funded the planting of 26 new trees on Mays Island, marking a significant milestone in the city’s ongoing urban forestry efforts. The initiative is part of Cedar Rapids’ efforts to restore the tree canopy lost during the 2020 derecho.
