One of Three Men in Ped Mall Fight Sentenced to Probation

One of three men arrested following an altercation on the Iowa City Pedestrian Mall last December has been sentenced to five years of probation.

According to court documents, three men were arrested and each was charged with willful injury causing bodily injury and participating in a riot, class D felonies. The men were Landan Provino and Ryan Maschmann of Wayland, and Jared Reed of Crawfordsville.

A witness told authorities an altercation occurred in a bar in downtown Iowa City and then continued outside where the victim was allegedly held by one man while the others punched and kicked him.
