CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — June 2025 marked a milestone for Cedar Rapids, with only one confirmed shots fired incident, the lowest since before January 2016.
This represents a 67% decrease compared to June 2024 and a 91% decrease compared to the average for June from 2020 to 2024.
Officers say they are continuing their efforts to reduce violent actions by individuals prone to aggressive behavior.
