Eastern Iowa nonprofit reaches milestone, provides 100 beds to kids in June alone

IOWA CITY, Iowa — An Eastern Iowa nonprofit is celebrating a significant achievement this month. The Linn County chapter of ‘Sleep in Heavenly Peace’ has successfully provided 100 children with beds in June alone, getting them off the floor and into beds of their own.

The organization has set a goal of making and delivering 100 beds every June, but this is the first year they have accomplished that target.

“Our goal is always to end child bedlessness here in Linn County and we do that one bed at a time, so anytime we can reduce the number of kids who don’t have beds it’s an awesome feeling,” said Mark Conzett, Linn County Chapter President of Sleep in Heavenly Peace…
