CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – We are hot and dry for the Fourth of July, but shower and storm chances return by tomorrow late-morning and throughout the afternoon.
Plan on hot and muggy conditions this afternoon, with highs in the upper 80s and low to mid 90s and dew points in the low to mid 70s.
This will push heat index values into the middle and upper 90s, so be sure to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if you’re spending time outside. Skies are mostly sunny throughout the day and we remain mostly clear for any fireworks shows Friday night as lows fall into the upper 60s and low 70s.
