Iowa Walgreens stores hit with fines over medication dispensing errors

IOWA, USA — Three Walgreens stores in Iowa have been fined by the state for medication dispensing errors, according to documentation from last month.

The Iowa Board of Pharmacy said the Urbandale location on 86th Street (Store #03773) dispensed a prescription with an incorrect label during a 2024 incident.

In 2023, the Marshalltown Walgreens on East Anson Street (Store #3196) mistakenly added a pill that treats high blood pressure to a bottle of ADHD medication.
