CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Things will feel nicer through the end of the work week before it’s back to warmth and humidity.
Dew points will drop fairly steadily overnight, falling into the 50s in most places by morning. That will set up a comfortable set of weather conditions, with lows also likely dropping into the mid to upper 50s.
Moisture levels creep upward a bit during the day owing to the mature corn crop around the region, but should stay at something completely reasonable for mid-July. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy, but we are anticipating dry weather for Thursday. Highs will only be in the low to mid 70s for most, which would be the coolest day compared to normal since late May.
Similar weather is likely for Friday, too, but fewer clouds are expected. That will give our temperatures a little bit of a boost, instead reaching the mid to upper 70s. Dew points will be a touch higher, and that process continues into the weekend…
