CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — Rounds of showers and storms between Saturday and Sunday brought heavy rainfall to eastern Iowa.
A few storms on Saturday morning were strong, producing 60 mph winds and quarter size hail.
Additionally, multiple flash flood warnings were issued. The already saturated ground, combined with the rapid accumulation of rain, lead to flooding over roads and along rivers, creeks and streams. Some rivers were already high and nearing flood stage after last week’s rain…
