CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Temperatures will rise into the low 90s today, with dew points in the upper 70s.
This will cause the heat indices to reach the 100s.
A Heat Advisory is in effect until 8 PM tonight.
Due to the hot temperatures and high humidity, it doesn’t take long for heat-related illnesses to develop. Be sure to check on yourself and others.
Overnight and into tomorrow morning, scattered showers and storms are expected to pass through. Lows will only drop to the mid 70s.
Tomorrow and Tuesday, temperatures will return to the low to mid 90s. Heat indices are again forecast to be between 100 and 110 degrees. There is a slight chance of storms on both days.
