IOWA CITY, Iowa — Dr. Calvin Carter, a University of Iowa researcher, is speaking out following the release of a state audit that flagged nearly $295,000 in what it described as “improper disbursements.”
In an interview with Iowa’s News Now, Dr. Carter strongly denied any wrongdoing and said the audit confirms what he and his team have maintained all along: that the issues stem from internal failures within the University’s administrative systems, not from personal misuse of funds.
“This has been a very long process with little transparency,” Carter said. “We’re very excited now that the report is out, and it confirms what we’ve known all along: there’s been no wrongdoing by myself. We feel that this exonerates us.”…
