Cedar Rapids man faces additional prison time after guilty plea in federal gun case

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A Cedar Rapids man previously convicted in connection with the 2020 shooting death of Malik Sheets now faces additional prison time after pleading guilty to a federal firearm charge.

21-year-old Marshawn Jeffries pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court to one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
