Coralville man sentenced after violating no contact order 14 times

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – A Coralville man has been sentenced after violating a no contact order multiple times.

According to a release from the Johnson County Attorney’s Office, 26-year-old Nathan Fisher violated a no contact order fourteen times between May 15 and July 6. One of the violations occurred at the Johnson County Jail, where Fisher made 91 phone calls to a victim while he was in custody.

Fisher faces several pending charges in connection to a recent incident with the victim, including:

  • Domestic abuse/assault of a pregnant person – strangulation
  • Domestic abuse/assault – strangulation with bodily injury
  • Domestic abuse – third offense or subsequent offense

Fisher was serving a two-year probation sentence for a prior incident with the same victim in 2024. He received probation after pleading guilty to the following charges:

  • Domestic abuse/assault strangulation with bodily injury
  • Domestic abuse/assault – second offense
  • Violation of sex offender registry – first offense

In addition, he violated a no contact order with the victim twice in 2024…
