Cedar Rapids felon sentenced for possession of firearms

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Cedar Rapids man was sentenced to prison for possessing firearms as a felon.

28-year-old Kyler Goettsch, of Cedar Rapids, pled guilty to one count of being a prohibited person in possession of firearms in May 2024.

According to court documents, Goettsch admitted to having two pistols following prior convictions of four felonies and a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence…
