CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Witnesses on Friday included the lead investigator, who found Chris Bagley’s body in March 2019 , the medical examiner and others. During the cross examination, the investigator said he was not sure if any of the individuals he interviewed for this case were truthful.
“I don’t know if anybody told us the whole truth,” Dave Beuter, now the Major at the Linn County sheriff’s office, said.
Both Paul Hoff and Drew Wagner gave statements that helped the investigation into Andrew Shaw in hopes of getting a lighter sentence.
