IOWA CITY, Iowa — A data breach at one of University of Iowa Health Care’s (UIHC) affiliate companies has resulted in the patient information of over 200,000 people being leaked.
A press release says that on July 3, 2025, someone accessed the computer systems of UI Community HomeCare, an affiliate company with UIHC, without permission.
UI Community HomeCare then shut down their servers and brought in a cybersecurity team to investigate. They were able to restore their systems within one business day…
