A Solon man was arrested on multiple felony charges in Washington County after an altercation.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Jacob Eakes on Tuesday in rural Washington County. According to court documents, on August 22nd officials received a report of a domestic abuse assault. Allegedly Eakes kicked in the locked, front, metal, entry door into the victim’s house, and began to yell and strike the victim, at one point using a metal clothes hanger. Eakes proceeded to destroy the victim’s property. The victim escaped the home from a broken window where the assault continued outside, in view of a vehicle recording device. The dash cam allegedly recorded Eakes strangling the victim and saying that he was going to kill her. Eakes took the victim’s keys and cell phone and left the property. The victim walked 1.5 miles to a neighbor to call the authorities.
Eakes has eight previous assault convictions and one theft conviction. Authorities reported observing multiple injuries upon the victim…
