A rural Linn County home was damaged in a fire on Thursday afternoon.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to 4353 Flemingville Road northwest of Alburnett around 1 pm. The homeowners’ daughter arrived home from school to black smoke and called 911.
When firefighters and emergency personnel arrived, they saw heavy black smoke coming from the basement. The homeowner arrived on scene a short time later, telling firefighters that there were two dogs still in the house…
