Hawkeyes fans are done in Iowa as the team falls to Iowa State, breaking a 14-year streak of beating the Cyclones in Ames. Iowa lost to No. 16 Iowa State 16-13 today for their second straight loss to the Cyclones in what was again an absolutely collapse on offense for the Hawkeyes.
Kirk Ferentz is currently on the brink of breaking the record for most wins by a head coach in the Big Ten, as he needs just one more. Many Iowa fans hoped he would get this week over their hated rival, but instead, Feretnz will have to wait for the record.
Even though Ferentz is one game away from breaking the record, Iowa fans are fed up with the offense and the way this team is going and are ready to use that buyout for a fresh start in Iowa City.
Iowa fans are calling for Kirk Ferentz to be fired
Kirk Ferentz needs to retire. Another season of absolute garbage offense. It is an insult to the sport for what he allows out on that field these last few seasons.

Well, at least this fan just wants him to retire and not be fired in the middle of the season. However, he isn’t wrong that the offense has not looked good so far, and there isn’t a lot of hope that it will be better either…
