CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Cedar Rapids woman is facing multiple charges after a man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds Sunday night. Cedar Rapids Police say at 6:42 p.m., officers were called to a report gunfire in the 3100 block of 16th Avenue SW. Police say officers located a 32-year-old man suffering from eight gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. Police say 37-year-old Quintoria Baker was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault, Display or Use of a Weapon – 1st Offense; Use of a Dangerous Weapon in Commission of a Crime; and Willful Injury – Causing Serious Injury. An investigation into the shooting continues.

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) – State regulators are warning of a growing trend of fake online gambling websites. The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC) and the Iowa Department of Public Safety have issued a warning about fake online gambling sites. The IRGC says the scam involves sites claiming they’re licensed or will spoof casinos which are licensed in Iowa. The sites will promise bonuses and claim to be affiliated with Iowa’s regulated gaming industry. The high interest in sports wagering during football season makes this warning particularly important.

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa (KCRG) – One person was taken into custody after a police chase ended in a crash on Monday. On Monday morning, authorities were led on a chase that ended in a single-vehicle crash in West Liberty. West Liberty Fire and emergency crews arrived on the scene and found no injuries to the driver, officers, or bystanders. Police arrested the driver and charges are pending at this time.
