Beautiful. For those unfamiliar, Iowa does a wave to the rooms overlooking the stadium in the Children’s hospital at the end of the first quarter for every home game. One of the best gestures in sports. Truly awesome.
Rutgers may not have come away with the win last night, but they sure won me over. Just an absolutely beautiful gesture and a reminder that even in this crazy ass world of NIL and kids playing for 5 schools and players being chess pieces or rental cars for portions of time, programs can still have a foundation of what they are about and Rutgers shows that is all class.
