Defense seeks to limit prosecution tactics in Linn County quadruple murder trial

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Defense lawyers for Luke Truesdell, the man accused of murdering four people in an outbuilding in rural Linn County, filed a motion asking the judge to limit some of the things prosecutors can do and say during trial.

Truesdell is accused of beating Amanda Parker, 33, Romondus Cooper, 44, Keonna Ryan, 26, and Brent Brown, 34, to death with a metal pipe in June of 2025.

If approved by the judge, prosecutors would not be able to argue Truesdell is lying if he decides to testify or if he does not, it could not be used against him…
