CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The Cedar Rapids Community School District is breaking ground Thursday on the new Van Buren Elementary School.
The new building, which is slated to open in 2027, will replace the current Van Buren Elementary which has stood on 29th Street SW since the 1970s and not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
