P&G to invest $150 million in Iowa City expansion

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Procter & Gamble (P&G) is set to expand its Iowa City Oral-B facility with a $150 million investment that will create 100 new jobs, according to reporting by the Iowa City Press-Citizen.

The project will include a new 150,000-square-foot building, estimated to cost $75 million, as well as an additional $75 million for advanced production equipment. The addition will bring a new production line to the site on Lower Muscatine Road, where Oral-B currently employs about 600 workers.

New positions tied to the expansion will include 95 manufacturing technicians earning $31.75 per hour and five project managers earning $41 per hour, according to city council documents…
