Construction starts on $10 Bil Iowa Data Center Project

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – QTS Data Centers has begun construction of a $10 billion data center campus that is believed to be the largest economic development project in the city’s history.

A total of seven buildings will comprise the 612-acre site at the Big Cedar Industrial Center; phase one, which includes site preparation and the initial building, is expected to reach completion in 2026. Additional phases will expand capacity over several years.
