CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — The first sculpture ever put on display in Cedar Rapids is on the move. It’s been missing from its old home on the First Avenue Bridge for a year.
Cedar Rapids was gifted the city’s 1st sculpture 75 years ago. The replica Statue of Liberty has been out in the elements up until 2024, when the city had to take it away for repairs.
Now the city plans to reveal the statue in a new location with some extra touches…
