Overnight signal work to bring lane reductions at Highway 151 and 13

MARION, Iowa — Drivers should expect lane reductions and delays at the intersection of Highway 151 and Highway 13 on Tuesday night as crews work to replace a traffic signal cabinet.

According to the City of Marion, Price Electric will shut down the signals beginning at 10 p.m. Oct. 7. During the work, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, all turn lanes will be closed, and the intersection will operate under an all-way stop. Temporary stop signs and street lighting will be in place.

The signals are expected to be shut off for about two hours before switching to flashing red for another four hours. Once the replacement is complete, the intersection will return to normal signal operation…
