Waypoint Services project underway to provide 12 new apartments to unhoused individuals

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — With an effort to get people off the streets of Cedar Rapids, Waypoint Services is fundraising to open a new facility that provides apartments of various sizes to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Jaye Kennedy has been working with Waypoint for more than a decade and she says this project is helping alleviate a community issue.

‘It’s a community project because homelessness is a community issue and we’ll be able to house anywhere from, I believe it’s 15 to 33 people in this facility,” Kennedy said…
