CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The first-ever Iowa Scarecrow Festival brought color, creativity, and community spirit to Hawkeye Downs on Saturday.
Held alongside the Made in Iowa Fall Market, the event featured more than 150 local vendors and over 50 handmade scarecrows crafted by artists, families, and businesses from across the region.
Festivalgoers also helped make a difference, the event collected non-perishable food donations and donated 10% of admission proceeds to Together We Achieve, a Cedar Rapids nonprofit working to fight hunger in Eastern Iowa…
