LINN COUNTY, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to help residents safely dispose of unwanted prescription drugs during National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, 310 2nd Ave SW in Cedar Rapids.
Anyone can drop off unneeded medications, like tablets, capsules, patches and other solid prescription drugs, for free and anonymous disposal. The goal is to prevent unused medications from ending up in the wrong hands or being misused…
