Ped Mall shooting suspect agrees to plea deal that would avoid prison time

IOWA CITY, Iowa — A Coralville man charged in a Ped Mall shooting that injured two people in July is now agreeing to a plea deal that will keep him out of prison.

Iziah Poulsen, 24, faced eight charges, included five felonies, in the shooting.

A criminal complaint says he shot at and pistol whipped an unarmed person who tried to take the gun away. A bullet hit another unarmed person and another bullet hit a nearby taco cart while grazing the hand of an employee there…
